June Phyllis (Roth) Fish

A long, happy and rewarding life ended for June P. Fish on January 1st, 2024. She was born to William H. And Ruth E. (Lightner) Roth on June 18th, 1934, in York, PA. Prior to moving to North Carolina, she was a resident of Monroe County for many years. At the time of death, she is survived by her son William J. Lapping and wife Janice of North Carolina, along with stepchildren Judy Bush of Stroudsburg, Rita VanWhy of Saylorsburg, Ronald Fish and wife Joy of Wooddale, Melvin Fish and wife Eleanor of Analomink.

June was blessed by several grandchildren, Michael Lapping and wife Cindi of Stroudsburg, Patrick Lapping and wife Lauri of Saylorsburg, Shannon Kennedy and husband Mitchell of East Stroudsburg,  Erin Shay and husband Michael of East Stroudsburg, Sarah Lapping and husband Kenny of Tannersville, Thomas Lapping Jr. and wife Jessica of Minisink Hills, Denise Robbins and husband Jody of Stroudsburg,                                                                 Christopher Bush of Tannersville, Lindsey Fish of Analomink, Heather Cramer and husband Chad of Stroudsburg , Kimberly Peters and husband Jake of Conshohocken, David Fish and partner Jason Day of Maryland, Dawn Leininger of North Dakota, Brad VanWhy and wife Michelle of Mt. Pocono.

June enjoyed her many great grandchildren Madison. R Cheslock, Michael Shay, Christopher Shay, Dillon Lapping, Mason Lapping, Ben Lapping, Kaiden Godshalk, Reed Peters, Louisa Peters, Christian Leininger, Connor Leininger, Hayley VanWhy, Kobey VanWhy, Jayden VanWhy, Nicholas VanWhy, Gianna VanWhy

June was one of seven siblings and surviving are Mary Ellen Meckley of York PA, Anita Tickle of York PA, Susan E. Rauhauser of York PA, Michael E. Roth and wife Donna of West York PA, George W .Roth and wife Lois of York PA along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Reed P. Fish of Wooddale PA, son Thomas J. Lapping of Stroudsburg PA and sister Carol Lower of York PA.

A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
