Joy “Judy” Harris Johnson, 72, of Kernersville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Born April 27, 1946, in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Harris and the late Venus Wester Harris. Mrs. Johnson retired from Ralph Lauren.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd Johnson of the home; daughter, Julie Morton of Fort Mill; son, Dr. Brad Deal of California; step-children, Billie Anne Hardison (Robin), Jeffery Floyd Johnson (Janet), Jackie Johnson Amar, Kelly Robyn Johnson (Dean Cornelius); grandchildren, Brady Morton, Raegan Morton, and Carson Morton; step-grandchildren, Thomas Hardison, Brandy Nelson Brantley, Charlie Ross, Jennifer Allen, Justin Johnson, Shaina Amar, and Jeffery Johnson, Jr.; eight step-great grandchildren; brother, Dennis Harris and wife Christie of High Point.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Darrell Harris, and Foster Harris.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Green Street Baptist Church with Rev. C.W. Moss officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
