Judith Marie (Atkins) Wilson

Judith Marie Atkins Wilson, 61, of Smithfield, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Sanford Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sanford.

She was born April 21, 1963, to the late Lewis Neil Atkins and the late Alice Marie Eatmon Atkins in Sanford.

Judith loved the time she spent with her family. The “Atkins Girls” are a close group of cousins that enjoy their close sisterhood. Judith was the youngest of the girls, but she could hang right with them. When her health declined, the family held onto to her in love and prayers.

She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to Grace Community Church, formerly First Assembly of God. She worked with the young girls, the “Missionettes”. She assisted with the sleepovers and cooking meals; she was willing to help in the church wherever needed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Wilson; sister, Patricia Jones; uncles, Dewey Atkins (Alice), EB Atkins Jr. (Christine), Charles Atkins (Barbara), Wayne Atkins (Audrey); aunt, Maxine Tucker (Virgil); cousins, Brenda Taylor, Dewey " Bud" Atkins, Jr, Leyton "Buddy" Tucker and Debra Atkins.

Left to cherish her memory: daughter, Leanne Wilson McKeever (Dylan); sister, Gloria Nelson (David); brother, Robert Atkins (Tammy); nieces, Lauryn Atkins and Wendy Ellis (Larry); nephews, Michael Nelson and Christopher Nelson, Neil Jones (Angie) and Brian Jones; cousins, Nadine Farmer, Gene Johnson, Waylon Tucker (Catherine), Rita Lockhart, Randy Tucker, Kathy Montgomery, Barbara Cox, David Atkins (Trish), Amanda Atkins, Ken Atkins (Barbara) and Teresa Huffman (Bruce).

Gathering of Family and Friends will be 4:00PM Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Wright Funerals-Cremations, Archdale Chapel; 10508 N. Main Street, Archdale, NC 27263.
