Judie Marie Cain

Judith “Judie” McDowell Cain, 82, of Trinity, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at her home.

Born April 24, 1944, in Guilford County to the late Coleman Ferris McDowell and the late Alma Garner McDowell.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Cain (Cammie) of Trinity; daughters, Kathi Hicks of Trinity, Angie Cain of Trinity, and Tina Nelson (Jeff) of Bradenton, FL; grandsons, Eric Hicks, Blake Hicks (Felicia), Matt Cain (Savanah) and Ryan Cain; great grandchildren, Hailey Marie Hicks, Nicholas Scott Hicks, Ella Faith Hicks, Peyton Marie Hicks, Connor Alexander Cain and Owen Vance Cain.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle Cain on February 15, 2017, after 55 years of marriage.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the Wright Funerals-Cremations, Archdale Chapel.

Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 1:00-1:45PM Saturday, prior to the service.
