Joshua Vause Johnson, 19, of Midway, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at his home.

Born April 23, 1999, in Forsyth County, he was the son of Kevin Johnson and Dawn Wilson Johnson of the home. Josh was a 2017 graduate of North Davidson High School where he was the punter on the Black Knights Football Team. He attended Methodist University and was currently a student at GTCC. He along with his father coached an AAU Basketball Team where he impacted the lives of young men. Josh loved four wheelers, dirt bikes, enjoyed the outdoors and was an active member of Faith Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Brittany Johnson; grandfather, Terry Wilson; grandmother, Shirley Ann Hill; uncles, Jeff Wilson and Kip Johnson; aunt, Eve Johnson; cousins, Jacob Wilson, Sam Wilson, Cameron Wilson, and Ansley Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth M. Johnson, Sr.; grandmother, Rita Wilson; and uncle, Michael Wilson.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Faith Church, 1078 Gumtree Rd., Winston-Salem, with Rev. Mike Gates officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
