Joshua Dwight Starnes, 31, of Winston-Salem, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, November 7, 2016.

Born February 2, 1985 in High Point, he was the son of Terri Starnes-Bryant and the late James Dwight Starnes, Jr.  Josh was a graduate of Ledford High School where he loved sports, his friends and The Mission Church.

Josh is survived by his mother, Terri Starnes-Bryant and step-father, Steve Bryant of High Point; son, Jorden Dwight Starnes, Jorden’s mother, Heather Jones; grandparents, Darlene and Barry Kinley of Winston Salem; and Harold D. Cecil of Statesville; four sisters; Hannah Starnes of Greensboro, April Bryant Martz (Jonathan) of Philadelphia, PA, Stephanie Bryant of High Point, and Amy Bryant Peak (Randy) of Winston Salem; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.D. and Janet Starnes.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, November 11, 2016 at Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. John Langdon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
