Joretta Lockhart Lewis

Joretta Lockhart Lewis, 101, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born March 22, 1921, in Florence County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Albert Lockhart and the late Zula Lockhart.  Joretta was a pairer in the hosiery industry and also a member of Rankin Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by sons, Larry Lewis of Trinity, Ronald Lewis (Sachiko) of Snohomish, Washington, Jerry Lewis (Louise) of Kernersville, Michael Lewis (Rhonda) of High Point, and Danny Lewis (Betty) of Cape Coral, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edwin Lewis and a son Robert Keith Lewis.

Graveside services will be conduced at 1:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2022, at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, with Reverend Keith Edwards officiating.
