John Robert James Hazelwood

John Robert James Hazelwood, 74, of High Point, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Born March 1, 1946, in Randolph County, he was a son of the late Moses Hazelwood and the late Lula Stanley Hazelwood. John was a retired heavy machine operator for the City of High Point and the State of North Carolina.

He is survived by his companion, Doris Albright of High Point; son, John Albright (Terri) of High Point; daughter, Carol Lookabill (Larry) of High Point; brothers, George Hazelwood (Linda) of Trinity, Douglas Hazelwood of California; sisters, Judy Whitaker of High Point, Brenda Treadaway of Trinity, Virginia Eaton of Archdale, Ruby Beck of Colorado, Bobbi Hyle of Pennsylvania, and Ellen Connors of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Zack and April; two great-grandchildren, Sylar, and Lucian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Linda Hazelwood, brothers, Mark and Tom Hazelwood; sisters, Fern Trotter and Stella Smith

Services will be private.
