John Calhoun Iii

John C. Calhoun 3rd, 68, died in Lexington North Carolina, on April 30th, 2021.  Affectionately referred to as ‘Johnny’ by many members of his family, he was named after his father and grandfather.  Born in Davidson County, North Carolina, he was the son of John C. Calhoun Jr and Lois Lynette Valetos Calhoun.  He primarily grew up in Thailand, as his parents were missionaries overseas.  When he returned state side at the age of 18, he moved to Oregon.

John enjoyed a variety of hobbies over his life span, including fly fishing, camping, making stained glass artwork and doing photography.  In his younger days, he also enjoyed woodworking.

John is survived by his son Peter John (granddaughter Makayla) and daughter Jessica Williams (SIL JJ & grandkids Jarrett & Jillian).  He is also survived by his brothers – Matthew and David, as well as nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother Mike Calhoun and parents – John and Lois.

Due to extenuating circumstances, there is no current plan for a funeral.
