John Archibald Barclay, IV, 58, of Archdale, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at his home.

Born February 7, 1962, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, he was a son of John Barclay, III of New Mexico, and the late Ruth Starr Barclay. John was the owner and operator of Express Cab in Thomasville and was very successful in various businesses. He enjoyed outdoor sports, off-roading, boating and times spent on family vacations at Disney World. John was caring, exuberant, outgoing and he never met a stranger.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Janet Boyd Barclay of the home; son, John “Quint” Barclay, V of Archdale; and brother, Charles Barclay and wife Jessica of Tobaccoville.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Barclay.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Twelve West Main with Rev. C.W. Moss officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
