Joe Oscar Harvey, Jr., of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield.

Born March 18, 1931, in Davidson County, he was a son of the late Joe Oscar Harvey, Jr. and the late Myrtle Fine Harvey. Mr. Harvey was a retired cloth cutter with Harris House Furniture and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Westmoreland Harvey; sons, Christopher Gilliland, Mike Knight, Roland Harvey, and Roger Harvey; daughters, Jo Ann Pope, Valeria Knight, Nora Gutieriez, and Jolene Hopkins; grandchildren, Joshua Pope, and Gabrlielle Pope.

Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 7742 Turnpike Rd., High Point, NC with Rev. Joel Smith and Rev. Mike Knight officiating. Burial will be private.
