Joanne Tompkins Trees, 77, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Born December 8, 1940, in Tampa, FL, she was a daughter of the late Walter Carwell Tompkins and the late Luella Goulden Tompkins. Mrs. Trees retired from Florida Power and Light and was a member of First Christian Church of High Point.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Edward Trees of the home, sons, Jeffery Rush and wife Kim of Waxhaw, and John Rush of FL; daughters, Lee Anne Trees of Cornelius, and Valerie Viers and husband Rick of Thomasville; grandchildren, Trisha, Bryan, Emma, Wyatt, Luke, Lily, Brad, Chris, and Tori, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, and Eli.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Friday, May 25, 2018, at First Christian Church of High Point.

The family will receive friends following the service.
