Joann Willett Emerson, 76, of High Point, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, November 4, 2017.

Born October 9, 1941, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late David Troy Willett and the late Bertha Wright Willett. Mrs. Emerson retired from Rite Industries, and Classic Dye, and was a member of Blessings Baptist Church. On November 24, 1959, she married Marvin Howard Emerson and he preceded her in death on March 21, 2016.

Mrs. Emerson is survived by her children, Keith Emerson, Karen Emerson Vestal and husband Scott; brothers, David Willett and wife Betty Jo, and Larry Willett all of High Point; sister, Donese Hedrick and husband Junior of Archdale, grandchildren, Courtney Vestal-Bull, Hayley Vestal, Logan Vestal and wife Tabatha, and Nathaniel Vestal; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Bull and Zoie Bull.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Willett.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Blessings Baptist Church, with Rev. Ronnie Kendrick officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
