Joan Atkins Bodenheimer

Joan Atkins Bodenheimer, 71, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Born November 3, 1950, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late George Elvert Atkins and the late Elrice McBride Atkins. Joan retired from the Guilford County School System.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, David Bodenheimer of the home; son, Chad Bodenheimer and wife Marti of Winston-Salem; daughter, Jennifer Fordahl of Greensboro; brother, Ronnie Atkins and wife Debbie of Stokesdale; sister, Naomi King and husband Ray of Summerfield; grandchildren, Macy Bodenheimer, Emmy Bodenheimer, Charley Bodenheimer, Finn Bodenheimer and Lilly Fordahl.

Services will be at a later date.
