Jo Ann York Gustafson, 79, of Thomasville, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Born January 12, 1938, in Surry County, she was a daughter of the late William Frank York and the late Rosie Ethel Bishop York. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Navy Commander Kenneth R. Gustafson. Mrs. Gustafson was a retired bookkeeper with First Factors in High Point and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children, Darlene Osborne, Johnny Manring and wife Jenny, Rickey Manring and wife Jane all of Thomasville, and Melinda Parsons and husband Clifford of Lexington; a sister, Barbara Jean Hill and husband Wayne of Denton; grandchildren, Kenny Osborne Jr. (Kasey), Amber Santora (Joseph), Amanda Griffis (Keith), Joshua Manring (Christina), Jordan Manring, Samantha Parsons, Sasha Parsons, Faith Parsons, Katie Parsons and Jake Parsons; and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
