Jo Riedel

Oretha (Jo) Colvin Riedel, 86, of Trinity, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at High Point Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Born March 28, 1935, in Inez, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lacy Colvin and the late Niza Pinson Colvin.  Oretha owned a construction company and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville.

She is survived by son, James Meredith ( Adrienne Nagy) of Bayside, NY; stepsons, Jon Riedel (Peggy) of Arizona and J.B. Riedel (Debi) of Ohio; daughters, Carol Matheny of Huntington, WV and Katherine Phillips (Danny) of Trinity; stepdaughters, Jan Taylor (Kim), New Mexico, Judi Taylor and Tanga Dodson (Tom) both of Georgia; grandchildren, Amanda Matheny, Flora Meredith, Zoe Meredith, Melissa Norman, Raymond Jones, Joshua Jones, Brian Phillips, Lori Holt, and Jennifer Newkirk; and many great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Meredith and Milton Riedel, and stepdaughter, Gay Castle Davis.

Memorial service to be planned at a later date.
