Jo Ann Frankel

Jo Ann Colbert Frankel, 78, of Thomasville, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at her home.

Born July 17, 1948, in Elkin, she was a daughter of the late Robert Colbert and the late Zenas Sprinkle Colbert. Jo Ann was a very creative and artistic person who was a self-employed interior designer. She loved gardening, painting birds, and beaches and shopping with Sue.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Barton of High Point; daughter, Valerie Barton Tilley and husband Larry of Trinity; grandchildren, Lauren, Brittney, Ryan and Alexa; great-grandchildren who knew her as Sweetie, Paisley, Aiden, Riley, and Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Parsons; and brother, Sonny Colbert.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Family Life Center at Central Wesleyan Church, 300 Hinkle St., Thomasville.
