Julia “Jill” Collette Buchanan, 49, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born September 7, 1968, in High Point, she was a daughter of Roger Dale Buchanan and Judith Drummond Buchanan both of Randleman.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Melissa Buchanan and husband Keith Meinelt of High Point; brother, Jeff Buchanan of Randleman; aunts, Donese Smith of Richmond, and Mildred Buchanan of Wilmington; and many extended family and friends.

Jill's life was full of loving family and friends.  She was a dedicated employee at Old Dominion for 23 years.  Jill loved what she did for a living and has a huge OD family, which is now providing our family with overwhelming love and support.

Her great passion was her love of animals.  Over the years Jill has rescued so many homeless animals.  In honor of her memory, the family request donations or gifts be given to any non-profit animal rescue group.

In loving memory of Julia "Jill" Buchanan, the Buchanan family is inviting beloved friends and family to be a part of the celebration of her life.

The event will take place on May 20th from 10:30 - 2:30, High Point.
