Jessica McBride Young

Jessica McBride Young, 85, of Kernersville, North Carolina, passed away on September 11, 2025.

She was born on May 11, 1940, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to the late William Walter McBride and Virda Mallie Slate McBride.

Throughout her life, she worked in many ways to care for others. She enjoyed yard sales and flea markets, refinishing furniture, and collecting household antiques. For the past 15 years, she devoted herself to caregiving, sitting with and supporting elderly members of her community.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Peoples and his wife Mary, her sister Maggie Holden, her brother Ernest McBride, and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held at White Road Baptist Church in Belews Creek, NC, on Monday September 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Graveside committal will take place at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown at 1:00 p.m.
