Jesse "Scott" Hicks

Jesse 'Scott' Hicks was born July 16, 1966 to Jessie Henry, who passed in 2001 and Gladys Kiser, who passed in 2005, in Guilford County.  He moved to the Trinity area at the age of 9 and called it home until his untimely passing.

In Trinity, he married Kathi in 1983, raised his family, made lasting friendships, burned lots of rubber off tires, woke many a neighbor with his hot rods, and loved to make others laugh.  He worked in manufacturing early in his life but spent the last 20 years as a truck driver. Next to his family, cars, more specifically Chevy, brought him such enjoyment from buying them to putting his mark on them to, say it ain't so, yes, selling them. He often reminisced of the gems he'd let go, but he soon had another to make his own all over again, if only for a short time.

His eternal love belonged to Kathi. His greatest love and accomplishment belonged to his sons, who both made him one proud Dad!  His heart belonged to his grandchildren, whose smiles, hugs, and kisses meant more than he could express!  His loyalty, help, and humor belonged to close family and friends that he cherished.

Those left to lovingly remember him are his wife, Kathi Cain Hicks, of Trinity.  His sons, Eric Hicks and Blake and wife Felicia Hicks, both of Trinity.  His four grandchildren, Hailey, Nicholas, Ella, and Peyton.  His sisters, Glenda Holmes and Kay Hicks also of Trinity and his brother, Roger Hicks of Williston, FL. And a very special niece he loved like a daughter, Nikki, of Trinity.  He is also survived by in-laws who only knew him as family, other nieces and nephews, and countless friends and car buddies.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde and Henry Hicks.

The family will receive visitors 6:00pm – 8:00pm Monday, October 4, 2021 at Archdale Assembly of God, 4405 Archdale Road, Archdale, NC 27263 and all other times at the home of Eric Hicks, Trinity.  Funeral services will be held at the church on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 2:00pm with burial following at Trinity Cemetery, Rockford Drive, Trinity, NC 27370.
