Jerry Wayne Hicks

Jerry Wayne Hicks, 79, of Archdale, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Hinkle Hospice House.

Born July 12, 1942, in Mt Airy, he was a son of the late Herman Taylor Hicks and the late Lucille Sparks Hicks. Mr. Hicks was a US Air Force veteran and a self-employed locksmith.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin Hicks and wife Pamela of Lexington, Kenny Hicks of Thomasville, and Kurt Hicks and wife Lauren of Trinity; daughter, Kim Wright and husband Denny of Denton; brother, Darrell Hicks of High Point; sisters, Donna Ratchford of Thomasville, Darlene Barnes and husband Red of Suffolk, Virginia, and Delena Burleson of Archdale; grandchildren, Jordan Hicks, Jake Hicks, Joseph Hicks, and Kelli Wood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Shoffner Hicks, and brother, Danny Hicks.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, December 24, 2021, at Denton Wesleyan Church Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Collins officiating.
