Jerry Scott Burke, 86, of Trinity, passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 14, 2026.
Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Army who bravely served his country during the Korean War. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion #87 for 44 years and proudly served as commander, continuing his lifelong commitment to fellow veterans and his community.
Jerry retired from Drexel Heritage after 43 years of hard work and dedication. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady hands, and ability to fix just about anything, especially small engines. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed golfing, playing pool, and spending time with his guitar in hand. He had a deep appreciation for simple pleasures, family gatherings, and making people laugh with his wit and stories.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Judy Burke; and his faithful dog, Keke. He also leaves behind his daughter, Karen Kabouris and husband Mike; stepson, Chris Hensley and wife Bobbie; stepdaughter, Lisa Everhart; and brother, Larry Burke.
He was a proud grandfather to Dezi Arter and husband Jim, Kiki Tournas and husband Harry, and Alex Kabouris and wife Athena. Jerry was also blessed with great-grandchildren Mikel Loren, Christian, Zoe, Katerina, Panos, Michael, Elena, and Sophia, all of whom brought great joy to his life.
Jerry will be remembered for his service, his loyalty to family and friends, his sense of humor, and the wisdom he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
