Jerome Albert Lapoint Sr.

Jerome Albert LaPoint Sr, 78, of Sophia, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2021, at his residence.

Jerome was born in Racine, Wisconsin to Magdalene Etteldorf and Albert LaPoint on April 26, 1943. He married Judith Smith LaPoint on November 28, 1964 and have spent 56 wonderful years together. He served in the United States Airforce. He was a member at Immaculate Heart of Mary in High Point, NC. He enjoyed reading, Bowling, and sitting on his porch watching the sunset. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 4 grandchildren.

Jerome is preceded in death by his mother Magdalene Etteldorf, his father Albert LaPoint, his son Jeffrey LaPoint, his sister Flo Grau, and his brothers Kenny LaPoint and Bill LaPoint.

Jerome is survived by his wife Judith LaPoint, his daughters Jenny LaPoint Hunt (Andy), Jodie Paquin (Raymond), his son Jerry LaPoint Jr, his sister Susie Patrick, his brothers Tim LaPoint (Sandy) and Jack LaPoint (Kim), he also leaves behind his 4 grandchildren Alaina, Addisyn, Landon, and Lily.

A Graveside service will be held at 11am Saturday July 3rd, 2021 at Randolph Memorial Park located at 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus N., Asheboro, NC 27203.
