Jean K. (Kerr) Michie

Jean  Kerr Michie, 75, of High Point, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born August 18, 1948, in Guilford County, she was a daughter to the late Jimmy Kerr and the late Dorothy Wright Kerr.  Jean graduated from High Point Central High School and Lenoir Rhyne College, she then went to work as a counselor for the juvenile court system in Guilford County and also worked as a teacher assistant at Southwest Guilford School.

She is survived by her husband, Craig Michie of the home; cousins, Sharon Wright (Mark Nizick) of Moorehead City, Debra Thomas (Wayne) and Martha Smith (Martin) both of Asheboro; and many other cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles (Bud) Kerr.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in the High Point chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations.

The family will visit with friends following the service.
