Janice A (Walsh) Fogarty

Janice Ann Fogarty, 80, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away on November 26, 2020 in High Point.

Janice was born in Bronx, New York to Muriel Walsh on August 15, 1940.  She married Daniel Fogarty on June 1, 1961 in Poughkeepsie, New York. Jan was not only a mother to Tim and Cara and grandmother to Raina, Jake and Lindsey, but was a mentor and guide to many friends over the years.  Many people, both friend and stranger, benefited from her ability to be a mom for all that knew her.  After Tim and Cara grew up, Jan’s love for people never stopped.  She made friends wherever she went, and “adopted” anyone that needed her guidance.  We were lucky to call her mom or grandma and the world was lucky to call her friend.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Fogarty and her mother, Muriel Walsh.

Janice is survived by her son, Tim Fogarty; daughter, Cara Allen; brother James Walsh and wife Terri; and grandchildren, Raina Fogarty, Jacob Allen and Lindsey Allen.
