Jane Elaine (Wright) Myers

Jane Wright Myers passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at Salemtowne Skilled Nursing, in Winston Salem NC.

Jane was born on February 7, 1945, in Greensboro NC to the late Erma S. Wright and Cornelius Carrington Wright and grew up in Burlington NC. Jane graduated from Walter Williams High School in 1963, where she was a member of Student Council and a JV and Varsity cheerleader. Jane attended WC (UNC Greensboro), graduating in 1967 with a degree in Merchandising and Accounting. After graduation, Jane enjoyed several business careers, first as an Assistant Buyer for Belk Store Services in Charlotte NC and then as the Financial Officer for Gaston Day School in Gastonia NC.

Upon moving to High Point in 1984, Jane worked for Rose Furniture Company, retiring after 20 years in furniture sales. Jane loved to knit and loved walking on the beach at Wild Dunes collecting shells. Jane was a perfect example of a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Jane was the type of person who would give you her last dime if you were in need and she dearly loved working with the senior highs at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church.

Jane is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Myers, two children Margaret Wilson (Matt), Charles L. Myers Jr. (Mary), brother Carrington Wright (Diane) and five grandchildren: Stephen and Ben Wilson, Ameila, Lucy and Maggie Myers.

Following a private family committal, a Memorial Service will be held at 2 o’clock on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends afterwards in the Asbury room.

The family would like to thank the staff of Salem Square at Salemtowne and the West Team at Trellis Supportive Care for the exceptional care they provided Jane.
