Jane Pendry

Jane McMillian Pendry, 80, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her home.

Born June 30, 1946, in Surry County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Montague McMillian and the late Esther Mae Young McMillian. Jane was a teacher for many years at Guilford Technical Community College. She loved her church and helping anyway she could and her neighbors and the neighborhood.

She is survived by her husband, James Pendry of the home; daughter Jamie Adams (R. Nathan); brother Samuel McMillian (Ana) of Florida; and grandchildren, Andrew Adams, Anna Beth Adams, Abigail Adams, and Matthew Adams.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Jamestown United Methodist Church with Dr. C.M. Worthy officiating.

The family will visit with friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.

A private burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Mt. Airy, North Carolina
