James (Jim) Perman Peacock, Jr., 81, of Kernersville, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at Piedmont Crossing.

Born November 26, 1934 in Guilford County, he was the son of the late James Perman Peacock,  and the late Leta Skeen Peacock. Mr. Peacock was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran and was a retired insurance adjuster with Allstate Insurance Co. He attended Oak View Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son Craig Peacock and wife Kelly of High Point; three grandchildren, Jeremy Peacock, Connor Peacock and Julie Peacock; and one great-grandchild, Cayson Peacock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Clodfelter Peacock in 2016 and his sisters, Betty Strickland and Doris Gunn.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Floral Garden Park Mausoleum with Rev. Chris Clontz officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the mausoleum.

The family would like to thank Piedmont Crossing Hall 200 for their love and care for Dad and his neighbors for their love and support.
