James Samuel Padgett, 77, of Lexington, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018, at Brookstone Retirement Center.

Born June 3, 1941, in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Lonnie W. Padgett and the late Elizabeth Burch Padgett. Mr. Padgett was a US Coast Guard veteran and the former owner of Flowers Etc.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Best of Savannah, Georgia; brother, David Padgett and wife Joan of Savannah, Georgia; and three nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Danny Joel Brown.
