James Fredrick McCormick, 61, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born September 25, 1956, in Davidson County, he was a son of Barbara White Thomas (Jack) of Thomasville and the late James Lacy McCormick. Mr. McCormick was a US Navy veteran and a self-employed paint contractor.

In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by his wife, Connie Kemp McCormick of the home; children, Brandon McCormick, Brandy McCormick, Barenda McCormick, and Jason McCormick; brother, Lamar Thomas and wife Patricia of GA; sisters, Robin Cranford and husband Tommy of Thomasville, Terrie Reid of Thomasville, Karen Hancock and husband Scott of FL, Diane Wheeler and husband Larry of GA, and Darlene Beardon and husband Mike of GA; and six grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Floyd.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
