Jim Hutchins

James “Jim” Otis Hutchins, 90, of High Point, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at High Point Medical Center.

Born November 30, 1934, in Winchester, Virginia, he was a son of the late James P. Hutchins and the late Ada Lea Lemons Hutchins. Jim was a veteran of the US Air Force, and a commercial plumbing salesman. He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church.

Jim is survived by his wife, Beatrice Ball Hutchins of the home; sons, Gary Hutchins, and Scott Hutchins and wife Anissa; sister, Ruth Ellen Hathcock and husband Tim; and brother, Bill Hutchins; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Alan Hutchins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Reverend Mark Loy officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
