James Coe Chernault

James Coe Chernault Jr., 81, of High Point, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Westchester Manor.

Born March 2, 1939, in Guilford County, he was a son of the late James Coe Chernault and the late Ina Parks Chernault. Jim was in the National Guard and a retired from Guilford County Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jones Chernault of the home; son, Bobby Chernault (Tiffany) of Johns Creek, G.A.; daughter, Susan C. Steen and husband Andy of High Point; and grandchildren, Joshua Steen, Sarah Steen, Nate Chernault, Delaney Chernault.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 18, 2021, at Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Frank Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Green Street Baptist Church Building Fund, or High Point Christian Academy, 303 North Rotary Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
