James Allen Beard, 77, of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Hinkle Hospice House.

Born January 3, 1943, in Rutherfordton, County, he was the son of the late Ralph Lee Beard and the late Ruth Lancaster Beard. Mr. Beard was a retired truck driver for the US Mail.

He is survived by his former wife Bennie Canipe Beard of Thomasville; daughters, Jamie Banks (Sterling) of Thomasville, Susan Williams of Thomasville, and Natalie Thompson of Winston-Salem.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Paige Allen Beard; and daughter, Laurie Boileau.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2020, at The Well, 906 Oaklawn Drive, Thomasville, NC  27360 with his son-n-law, Sterling Banks and grandson, Jesse Beard officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at 222 Lake Drive East, Thomasville.
