James "Tommy" Akines

James “Tommy” Akines, 76, of Thomasville, passed away on March 26, 2021 at Lexington Healthcare Long Term Care.

Tommy was born in High Point, NC to Mary E. Lambeth Akines and James B. Akines on March 30, 1944. He was married to his wife Imogene for over 51 years. He was a simple man that loved to be outdoors and somewhere near water. He was a truck driver by trade but his favorite thing in this world was fishing.

Tommy is preceded in death by his mother Mary E. Lambeth Akines, and his father James B. Akines.

Tommy is survived by his wife Imogene Akines, his sons Jamie Akines (Sherry), Michael Akines, and Mark Akines (Tonya), his brother Johnny Akines (Betty), he also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm March 31, 2020 at Guil- Rand Memorial Park (Cabin) located at 1550 Hwy 62 West, High Point, NC 27263.
