Jackie Venable Lanier

Jackie Venable Lanier, 83, of High Point, died Sunday November 15, 2020. She was born on April 24,1937 in Ararat, NC to Coy and Lottie Venable. On February 6,1960 she married Nubert Tate Lanier who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Gilbert, Ed and Wilford Venable and sisters Josie ONeal, Betty Tilley, Cleo Taylor, Peggy Sellers and Jane Dunning.

Jackie is survived by her children, Tammy Marshburn and husband Lee, Penny Hensley and husband Devon, and Shawn Lanier and wife Andrea. Her grandchildren, Lottie O’Sullivan and her husband Kelly, Scott Marshburn, Emma Hensley, Noah Lanier, Nick Lanier and Heather Hensley.

A graveside service will be held at Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday November 21st at noon located at 324 Little Mountain Church Road, Ararat, NC 27007. The service will be officiated by Reverend Kelly O’Sullivan. The family will receive relatives and friends at this time.

Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She had many artistic talents and throughout her life she loved to crochet, paint and sew just to name a few. Our family is left with many of her beautiful handmade creations to treasure forever. She loved her family and we loved her so very much. We will miss you Mom.
