Irene Spencer Joines

Irene Spencer Joines, 90, of High Point, surrounded as always by love, slipped away from her family and friends to a place of eternal peace on Friday, January 27, 2017.
Born June 20, 1926 in Guilford County, she was a daughter of late James Ross Spencer and the late Nonnie Susan Morris Spencer. She was a homemaker and a member of Covenant Church United Methodist.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Joines Collins and husband Richard of Zebulon; brother, Donald Spencer and wife Carolyn of Wake Forest; sisters, Marie Reddeck of Trinity and Eutha Hix and husband Dick of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Suzanne Collins, Allen Collins and wife Tiffany, Jeffrey Collins and wife Mandey, Stephanie Hawkins and Heather Joines; and ten great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sharon Joines of Thomasville
Waiting for her was her beloved husband, parents, son, granddaughters and many others whom she took care of before they were called home. Here on Earth, she was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. Living on to cherish her memory are those still here to whom she devoted her life's work.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Floral Garden Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. C.W. Moss officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
