Graveside services for Billy Omega Stutts, 88, who passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Hospice Home at High Point, and Mamie Ileen Ferrell Stutts, 88, who passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Piedmont Crossing, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Floral Garden Park with Chaplin Craig Walker officiating.

Bill was born December 17, 1929, in Guilford County. He was a son of the late Samuel Pratt Stutts and the late Maggie Stephens Stutts. Bill was a US Army/National Guard veteran, a graduate of High Point College, retired accountant with AT&T, a York Rite Mason and a member of the Acacia Lodge #674. Bill was also a member of the National Society of Public Accountants, a treasurer and deacon at Jewel Baptist Church for many years.

Ileen was born February 14, 1930, in Caldwell County. She was a daughter of the late Wilburn Berdebt Ferrell and the late Ruth Ivetus Gilbreth Ferrell. Ileen was a homemaker and a longtime member of Jewel Baptist Church.

Bill and Ileen were married on his birthday, December 17, 1948, in Davidson County. They were married for sixty-nine years.

They are survived by their children, Debbie Jones of High Point, and Janice Taylor and husband Douglas of St. Simons Island, Georgia; grandchildren, Richard Haggerty, III, Ryan Haggerty, Douglas Haggerty, David Jones, Jr., Lauren Taylor Potter, and Douglas Taylor, III; great-grandchildren, Liam Haggerty, William Taylor Potter, and Charles Taylor, IV. They are also survived by Billy’s brother, Donald Stutts and wife Shelba; Ileen’s brothers and sister, Carl Ferrell, Lonnie Ferrell, and Lee Ferrell.

Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Stutts, and Samuel Pratt Stutts, Jr.; sisters, Myrtle Willard, and Annie Margaret Stutts.

Ileen was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Billy B. Ferrell. Billy R. Ferrell, Kenneth Ferrell, and Doris Ferrell.
