Hobert Leon Johnson, 68, of Greensboro, passed away on November 14, 2021 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.

Hobert was born in Greensboro, NC to Nannie Grace McBride and James Hobert Johnson on November 22, 1952. He served in the Unites States Army. He loved almost any sport, his favorites were Golf, Nascar, Baseball, and College Basketball. He was a HUGE North Carolina Basketball fan. He also loved going to watch the Greensboro Grasshoppers play. His greatest joy was his family and spending time with them.

Hobert is preceded in death by his mother Nannie Grace Johnson, his father James Hobert Johnson, his sisters Juanita Moore, Helen Tolliver, Faye Deeming, Beulah Wilson, Ann Hunt, and Myra Harrison, also his brothers Richard Johnson and Edward Johnson.

Hobert is survived by his wife Wendy Dunlap Johnson, his daughter Crystal Noel West (Jason), his son Timothy Aaron Johnson, his sisters Arcola Eaton, Linda Moore (Terry), Cynthia Mahaffey (Curtis), and Janice Jones (Ronnie), his grandson Braxton Faircloth, he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive visitors at 1pm Thursday November 18, 2021 immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at 2pm at Archdale Wesleyan Church located at 3804 Archdale Road, Archdale, NC 27263.

Arrangements are by Guil-Rand Funeral & Cremation Service.
