Hilda Mitchell Rouse, 87, of High Point, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, at her home.

Born September 8, 1929, in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry Mitchell and the late Helen Brown Mitchell. Mrs. Rouse was a retired accountant with Dixon Hauser and Odom and a member of Oak View Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, David Rouse of the home; son, Mark David Rouse of Wallburg; daughter, Julie Anne Rouse of High Point; sister, Jo Ann Goins of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Jarrod Bivins, Jordan Bivins and wife Jill, Emily Bivins Godfrey and husband Devon; and three great-grandchildren, Colin Bivins, Sascha and Sierra Godfrey.

Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Thursday July 27, 2017, at Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church with Elder Norbert Kemp officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 3:00 PM until 3:45 PM at the church.
