Henry Guy Barnes

Henry Guy Barnes, 91, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center.

Born November 16, 1933, in Johnston County, he was a son of the late Zebulon Barnes and the late Viola Creech Barnes. He was a self-employed house painter. Henry liked going to his homeplace in Smithfield and working on lawn mowers.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean war.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Barnes and Lawrence Barnes; grandson, Daniel Lewis (Asheley); great granddaughter, Kayley and step great grandson, Caleb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Barnes; and daughter, Kay Lewis.
