Helton Owenby

Helton Owenby, 86, of Trinity, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born December 13, 1939, in Macon County, NC, to the late Agrie Owenby and the late Gertrude Mashburn Owenby.

Left to cherish his memory; his wife, Karen Dills Owenby of the home; daughters, Donna Finlen and husband Mark and Wanda Cumbie and husband Sam, both of Trinity; brothers, James Owenby (Connie) of Florida and Mitchell Owenby (Roberta) of Trinity; grandchildren, Heather Loflin (Nick), Anthony Finlen, Cody Finlen (Brittany), and CJ Cumbie; great grandchildren, Lilly Loflin, and Shelby Loflin; and sister-in-law, Peggy Owenby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dillard Owenby, and Pete Owenby.

Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday, May 16, 2026, at True Gospel Baptist Church; 4706 Coltrane Street, Trinity, NC 27370; with Pastor Rick Shoemaker officiating.

Burial will follow at GuilRand Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends from 5:00-6:30PM, Friday, May 15, 2026, at Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point Chapel.
