Hazel Irene Southern Soots, 91, of High Point, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at her home.

Born January 8, 1927, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Grady Southern and the late Cletus Rumley Southern. She retired from Evergreen Nursing Home.

She is survived by her son, Steve Soots and wife Kay of High Point.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sanford Soots; sons, Jerry Soots, and Roger Soots; and sister, Shirley Begal.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 12, 2018, in the mausoleum chapel of Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends following the service.
