Sidney Harold Lea, 81, of High Point, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born September 2, 1935, in Pinehurst, he was a son of the late Sidney Haywood Lea and the late Esther Campbell Lea. Mr. Lea was the owner/operator of Lin-Lea Wallpaper and Paint in Fayetteville and Oak Island. He was a former skydiver and Past President of the High Point Jaycees. Mr. Lea loved his family and enjoyed playing cards and golf with friends.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Linda Roberts Lea of the home, children, Alan Lea and wife Gail of Godwin, Pam Heckenast and husband Al of Alabama, Kathy McMahan and husband Bud of Jamestown, Kim Lea of High Point, and Allison Myers and husband Marty of High Point; brother, Bobby Lea and wife Judy; grandchildren, Tisha, Michael, Tamra, Becky, Alicia, Corey, Elizabeth, Will, and Anna; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Tommy and Jeff.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at his home, 417 Rockspring Rd., High Point from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2017.
