Dr. Gwendolyn Keller Griffin

Dr. Gwendolyn Keller Griffin, 92, of Archdale, peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Morningview at Irving Park.

She was born June 21, 1932, in Guilford County, to the late Calvin Sanford Keller and the late Troy Amanda Hilliard Keller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter.

On July 27, 1952, she married the love of her life, the late Ronald E. Griffin, Sr; they were married for 65 years.  Together, they enjoyed collecting and selling antique furniture, spending time at the Outer Banks and at their home in Blowing Rock.

Gwen graduated from Allen Jay High School and received her BA, Masters, and Doctorate from UNC-G.  She was featured in several magazines and books that displayed her love for antiques and crafts.  She was the owner of Griffin Antiques in Jamestown, NC.

Gwen had two children who she loved and was so proud of, Ronald E. Griffin, Jr (Debbie) and the late Lynne Garrison (John).  She has five grandchildren, Melissa Lydic (Matt), Ron Griffin III (Rachel), Kathleen Austin (Ben), John Garrison III (Alanna), and William Garrison (Biannchah); seven great grandchildren, Mason and Madison Lydic, Liam and Clara Austin, Cassidy Garrison, Isabella and Will Garrison.

Funeral services will be 11:00AM Monday, January 27, 2025, in the Wright Funerals-Cremations, Archdale Chapel, with the Reverend Tim Porter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairfield Community Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 10:00-10:45AM, prior to the service.
