Ginger (Bennett) Deckard

Genevieve “Ginger” Bennett Deckard, 87, of High Point, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, at her home.

Born April 30, 1933, in Randolph County, she was a daughter to the late Graydon Bennett and the late Margaret Young Bennett.  Ginger was a retired customer service associate for Sears, and volunteered at High Point Medical Center for ten years.

She is survived by a son, Robert W. “Speedy” Hedgecock, Jr. (Janice) of Kernersville; daughter, Misty Hedgecock McGuire of Kernersville; brother, R.J. Bennett, Jr. of Greensboro; grandchildren, Daniel Hedgecock (Jessica) and Aaron Hedgecock; great grandchildren, Cora Hedgecock, and Cole Hedgecock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Briggs.

Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2020, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. CW Moss officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
