Gertrude Griffin Hight, 96, of High Point, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Westchester Harbour.

Born December 27, 1923, in Durham County, she was a daughter of the late James Griffin and the late Effie Pulley Griffin. In 1988, Mrs. Hight retired from the Presbyterian Home as their beautician and was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Randy Hight and wife BJ of Winston-Salem; daughter, Pam Blackburn and husband Paul of Thomasville; granddaughters, Gina Sechrist and husband Darrell, and Lauren Miller and husband Hunter; great-grandsons, Ethan Sechrist and Christian Sechrist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eulas “Bill” Edward Hight; son, David Hight; brothers, James Griffin, Ed Grissom and Carl Grissom; and sister, Margie McDowell.

Private services will be at Guilford Memorial Park.
