George Alexander “Candy Paw Paw” Wilson, 75, of High Point, formerly of Concord, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born July 4, 1942, in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late Dewey D. Wilson and the late Bleaker Estelle Gibson Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a US Navy Veteran and a retired check-in supervisor with Biggers Brothers.

He is survived by his wife Judy Mason Wilson of the home; children, Karen Lane and husband Mike of Midland, Tony Wilson and fiancé Cindy Chancellor of Raeford, Steve Wilson and wife Cindy of Concord, Allen Wilson and wife Teri of Concord, Sharon Wilson of Raeford, Renee Christy and husband Brian of Concord, Joseph Frazier and wife Susan of Archdale, and Naomi Haney of Morrisville; sisters, Faye Sherrin of Wingate, Brenda Adams and husband Jim of California; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and special niece and nephew Debbie and John Bird.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife Barbara Jo Wilson in 2008; brothers, Dewey Wilson, Grady Wilson, Ted Wilson; and sister, Delores Cochran.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Trindale Community Church, Archdale with Rev. Ottis Collins officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262 or the Randolph County Honor Guard, PO Box 1672, Asheboro, NC 27204.
