George Franklin Gengler, 49, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Thomasville Medical Center.

Born May 19, 1969, in Guilford County, he was a son of the late Kenneth James Gengler and the late Shirley Oakley Gengler. Mr. Gengler was employed with Unique Coatings of High Point, and was a member of Son Light Baptist Church in Lexington. He was a loving husband, son, brother, step-father, grandfather, and uncle.

Mr. Gengler is survived by his wife, Elsie Woods Gengler of the home; step-children, Joel Taylor (Bobbie) of Denton and Lisa Young (Bryan Clark) of Thomasville; brothers, Andy Gengler of Reidsville, and Johnny Gengler of Whitsett; sister, Kimberly Gengler of Whitsett; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM Saturday, March 23, 2019, in the gathering room of Wright Funerals-Cremations.
