Gary "Buck" Yokley

Gary “Buck” Arnold Yokley, Sr., 89, of Thomasville, passed away Monday, October 12, 2026, at his home.

Born March 14, 1937, in High Point, he was a son of the late Arnold Burrus Yokley and the late Charlotte Rae Turner Yokley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Berrier, Judy Embler, Deana Martin, and Leslie Eaton.

He married Sandra Jean Jones Yokley on December 20, 1957, and they spent 66 loving years together until her death on October 26, 2024. His second love was playing golf.

He is survived by sons, Gary Yokley, Jr of Winston-Salem, Christopher Yokley (Tina) of Summerville, SC, Brian Yokley (Kelly) of Wallburg; daughters, Lisa Stubbs and Kimberly Yokley, both of Thomasville; grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Jordan, Jacob, Alex, Matthew, Asher, Brianna, Peyton and Erin; great grandchildren, Alexis, Henry and Emily; sister, Linda Board; nephew, Jerry Jones (Wendy); and niece Julie Mesoros (Tim).

Celebration of Life services will be 11:00AM Saturday, October  17, 2026, in the High Point chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations.

The family will receive friends following the service.
