Gary Lee Hutchins

Gary Lee Hutchins, 70, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home.

Born May 1, 1955, in Guilford County, he was a son of Beatrice Ball Hutchins of High Point and the late James O. Hutchins. Hutch was a dedicated member of the High Point Elks Lodge #1155 for 19 years. He served as Exalted Ruler in 2015. He held several leadership positions and was an officer for all of the years that he was a member. His favorite activities with the Elks were the Hoop Shoot and Camp Carefree Committee. He considered the Elks his extended family and was loved by members all over the state of North Carolina.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Nick Hutchins of Thomasville; brother, Scott Hutchins and wife Anissa of Lexington.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the High Point Elks Lodge #1155, 700 Old Mill Rd., High Point 27265.
